Isabelle Stillman is a lot of things - a high school teacher, a raging feminist, an aspiring adult - but being the middle sister in her family is the most important: hence, the title of her debut album. Her first full-length project is varied in genre, reflecting the confusing process of becoming an artist and a grown-up, but cohesive in lyric, addressing themes of grounding and aspiration, love and loss, independence and reliance. Isabelle's love of words and depth as an artist are apparent as she introduces herself to the music world. Taste Music called Middle Sister "utterly enthralling" and "beautifully constructed".
